If you are planning to take a college day, please remember you must get
your College Day Form signed prior to taking your college day by Mr.
Ragsdale or Mr. Odam. On your
visit, you must have a representative from the institution sign the form
and then return it to the office. You
get two college days. If you
cannot find your form, I have extra ones in my office.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
FOR FINANCIAL AID: Do not
forget to complete your FAFSA information. You will need a pin number
before you complete the application, for help and additional information
go to: www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Some schools may request a copy of your parents’ tax return.
Make sure you are keeping copies of all applications and forms submitted
to colleges.
OTHER INFORMATION:

GRADUATION PLANS: I
have put a form in your box for you to complete that that includes your
post-graduation plans. This
will be read at the Awards Assembly on May 19th.
Please return by April 30th.

ATTENTION NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENTS:
I did not receive
Oklahoma Indian Honor Society registration forms by the deadline.
I have talked to Lila Hornbuckle and she will still accept your
application with the appropriate documents so that you may be recognized
this academic year. You must
have a 3.9 cumulative GPA and a CDIB card to be eligible.
If you qualify see me for more information and an application.

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE:

DUE DATES ARE APRIL 23 OR 30.

NOT ATTENDING COLLEGE:
Don’t forget that you
attend the technology center on the next step scholarship.
This will allow you to learn a skill or trade to help you be more
competitive in the work force. See

NEW SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY – JASON C. WAGNER FOUNDATON
I have reviewed this
application online and there are not a lot of specific qualifications
other than financial need and submitting the application with an essay.
The amount of the scholarship is $2500. at least and must be
postmarked by May 30, 2010. You

Student Athletes:
If you participate in
wrestling, basketball, baseball, or track and have a 3.5 GPA and a minimum
ACT Score of 24 or higher see me to apply for the OSSAA/FARMERS INSURANCE
SCHOLARSHIP. Applications are
due March 1, 2010 and April 30, 2010 depending upon which sport you
participate in. Once you have
completed the application, please return it to the office.
It must be submitted from Mr. Ragsdale.
The scholarship is worth $750.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY – OKLAHOMA RURAL REHABILITATION
CORP. This scholarship is
available to students who plan to go to college or attend vocational
training. The amount of the
scholarship is based upon financial need and not ACT score is required.
Application deadline is April 15.

MONEY FOR COLLEGE: SGT.
Mandy Clouse, a Tuttle graduate, is a Army Reserve Recruiter.
She would like to visit with anyone interested in receiving money
for college, receiving a $10,000. sign on bonus, and information on loan
repayment all by doing one weekend a month and two weeks during the

ROBERT C BYRD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:
Minimum qualification
is a 32 ACT or SAT combined score of 2130.

PETE & LELA STAVROS SCHOLARSHIP:
I found this
scholarship in the Firefighter Newspaper.
You must be a child or relative of a member of the Oklahoma State
Firefighters Association. You
may download an application at: http://www.occf.org.
From the directory drop down menu; click “S” and then click on
Pete and Lela Stavros. If you
do not have internet access call OSFA (800) 308-5336 for copies of the
forms. Application must be
post-marked by May 1, 2010.
