If you are planning to take a college day, please remember you must get
your College Day Form signed prior to taking your college day by Mr.
Ragsdale or Mr. Odam. On
your visit, you must have a representative from the institution sign the
form and then return it to the office.
You get two college days. If
you cannot find your form, I have extra ones in my office.

IMPORTANT DATES:
o
March 1 is scholarship deadline date for SWOSU AND OCCC.
o
March 5 is the registration deadline for the April 10
ACT.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
FOR FINANCIAL AID: For
students attending college, FAFSA forms must be submitted as soon as
possible. It is important
that your parents file their taxes early, so that you can complete the
FAFSA application process. It
is strongly encouraged to complete the process on line to expedite the
process. You will need a pin
number before you complete the application, for help and additional
information go to: www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Some schools may request a copy of your parents’ tax return.
Make sure you are keeping copies of all applications and forms submitted
to colleges.
OTHER INFORMATION:

Student Athletes:
If you participate in
wrestling, basketball, baseball, or track and have a 3.5 GPA and a
minimum ACT Score of 24 or higher see me to apply for the OSSAA/FARMERS
INSURANCE SCHOLARSHIP. Applications
are due March 1, 2010 and April 30, 2010 depending upon which
sport you participate in. Once
you have completed the application, please return it to the office.
It must be submitted from Mr. Ragsdale.
The scholarship is worth $750.

Student Athletes: You
can earn one of 25, $7500. scholarships.
Applications are being accepted through March 5, 2010 for
the 2010 Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY) Award.

Great Instate Scholarship Opportunity:
Weokie Credit Union
is offering 25, $1500. scholarships for an essay contest.
Essay must be postmarked by February 26, 2010.

you are unable to download an application, I have a few in my office.

UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY –
If you are planning to major in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, or
Engineering Physics you may apply for J. Clarence Karcher Scholarship.
It is worth $1400. for incoming freshmen through seniors.
Application must be postmarked by March 15.
If you are interested you may come by my office for an
application.

The University of
Oklahoma offers a seven hour ACT prep class.
The cost is $90. and is offered every couple of months prior to a
national test date. If you
are interested, please come by and I will get you the necessary
application and information, or you may call 405-325-6897 or contact http://youth.ou.edu.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY – OKLAHOMA RURAL
REHABILITATION CORP. This
scholarship is available to students who plan to go to college or attend
vocational training. The
amount of the scholarship is based upon financial need and not ACT score
is required. Application
deadline is April 15. See
me for application.

NATIVE AMERICAN HONOR SOCIETY SHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:
If you are a member on the Native American Honor Society there are three
different scholarships available. You
may check with me to receive qualifying information and receive
applications. Registration
deadline is March 5, 2010.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY – MALES PLANNING TO ATTEND
OSU: The Balanced Man Scholarship is valued at $375. - $500. for any male
planning to attend OSU. An
essay is required and applications are available in my office.
Scholarship application deadline is March 19, 2010.

MONEY FOR COLLEGE:
SGT. Mandy Clouse, a
Tuttle graduate, is a Army Reserve Recruiter.
She would like to visit with anyone interested in receiving money
for college, receiving a $10,000. sign on bonus, and information on loan
repayment all by doing one weekend a month and two weeks during the
summer. You may contact
