From the Desk of Superintendent Lee Coker:

As I have mentioned before in this publication, next year will be a very difficult one for governmental agencies in Oklahoma.  Tuttle Schools will not be spared.  As the budget picture for next year becomes clearer, we will be forced to make numerous cuts.  The number we are being told to plan on is a 10% cut next year added to the 3.5% cut we incurred this year.  With our budget comprised of 85% salaries, this will mean teacher layoffs.  No one wants to reduce faculty and staff positions but the reduced income will demand cuts.  We will work hard to protect the students in the classroom but ultimately school will take on a little different look than it does this year.  Keep in mind that the projects we are working on through the bond issue will continue.  Bond issues are a totally separate "slice of the pie".  I hope you will continue to support our school through these difficult times.  You know we will continue to do the best job we can with the resources we are given.
